Buckwallow Cycling Centre

Description

Description

PLEASE NOTE : BUCKWALLOW CYCLING CENTRE WILL REMAIN CLOSED FOR THE 2021 SEASON.

The owner has announced his retirement on Facebook and it is likely that Buckwallow could remain closed.

Buckwallow is private property and is not being taken over by any other trail groups at this time.

One of Ontario’s prime riding destinations, Buckwallow Cycling Centre has a great mix of buff singletrack, open fireroads and rocky technical sections to keep even the most capable riders on their toes. Buckwallow is one of the best maintained and diverse riding destinations in the region and worth every penny to ride there. Riders are typically greeted by owner Mike McLaughlin and his son who are always at the ready to make sure your experience at Buckwallow is one you will enjoy and remember.

The trails at Buckwallow are well marked with signs at each trailhead indicating the trails name, difficulty level and a short description of what lies ahead. The trails are some of the best maintained in the province and the owner even goes so far as to use a leaf blower to clear the trails in the fall. The facilities are well kept and have everything you require including: ample parking, a bike wash, trail maps and vending machines for drinks.

Everyone will find something to enjoy at Buckwallow. There is lots of fun flowy singletrack and fireroads for beginners with modest elevation throughout. For the more advanced rider, Buckwallow has some of the best rock riding around. This is great Canadian Shield riding at its best.

Trails are maintained from May 1st-October 31st each year. Please pick up your trail pass or purchase a seasonal membership before hitting the trails, and join in on Thursday nights during the summer months for race night at 7pm.
