Description

Description

The Rotary Algonquin Fitness Trail is part of the Park to Park Trail Association system of trails. Known to the locals as the Fitness Trail, this 5km manicured trail follows the Georgian Bay shoreline through the Town of Parry Sound. This trail is heavily used by local residents and a great way to see some of the most spectacular views of both Parry Sound and Georgian Bay. This section of trail is owned and maintained by the Town of Parry Sound. Trailheads are available at Smelter’s Wharf (the Salt Docks), Waubuno Town Beach, the Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts, and the Champagne Street Dock. Washrooms are available seasonally at the Town Dock and Beach, as well as during business hours at the Stockey Centre. Paper trail maps, if desired, can be purchased from the Park to Park Trail Association here.
