With tons of accommodations available (from historic resorts and B&Bs, to glamping sites and campgrounds) and plenty of exceptional attractions, restaurants and shops to visit while you’re out on your bike, Ontario’s cottage country is a great place to map your own cycling TOUR.
You can also rent bikes from local shops, and head out for guided tours and clinics. (Always wanted to try winter fat biking for instance but don’t have the equipment? Learn how to ride these increasingly-popular bikes here once the snow flies or on our more rugged trails.) In a place that’s played host to the full Ironman race and is home to a vibrant triathlon and endurance community, Ontario’s cottage country provides endurance athletes with many opportunities to TRAIN for your next event.
Go fast out on the flats and challenge yourself with elevation that rises to 1900 metres in places. You can also join one of many local group rides and time trial training sessions. And for off-road junkies, discover what the local enthusiasts know – that your next TREK in the woods of Ontario’s great outdoors is sure to satisfy. (You may have to out ride a few black flies once in a while – but hey – that’s part of the thrill in these parts.)
