The Airport – Muskoka Beach route is a 34km loop from Ecclestone Cycle, past the Muskoka Airport to Gravenhurst, then back up Muskoka Beach Rd towards Bracebridge.  If you’re interested in stopping at an attraction along the way and have an interest in local history, stop in at the Little Norway Memorial at the Muskoka Airport. The memorial is in place to recognize the historical significance of the Royal Norwegian Air Force training program in Muskoka during the Second World War, and commemorates the lives and sacrifices of those that trained at “Little Norway” ensuring that their legacy will not be forgotten. The exhibit helps to provide an understanding and appreciation of the long-standing and continuing connections between Norway and Canada. There is no cost of admission, you’re welcome to come in and look around. The Little Norway Memorial is open from 8am-8pm May 15-August 31, and 8am-6pm September 1-May 14. The route has a total ascent of 230.62 m and has a maximum elevation of 291.24 m.
