At Hay Lake Lodge & Cottages, our cabins are log, well-spaced and right on the lake, surrounded by white birch. We are a small lodge, so even when we are full it is never crowded here. Our lake is 16 kilometers long, with plenty of structure and shoreline to fish or just to explore by boat, canoe or kayak to see the wildlife. Our location is only a 15-minute drive from Algonquin Park’s East Gate, making it easily accessible with its trails, museums and programs.

We enjoy giving our guests a chance to completely relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. We’ll deliver you breakfast to your cabin each morning so you can sit on your screened porch and sip coffee while you listen to the loons. Canoes and kayaks are included so you can explore the shoreline of Hay Lake, or take a portage into Algonquin Park. Our background in wildlife management and environmental education has been useful in working to ensure the natural beauty of the area. Just as important to us is the pleasure we receive introducing guests to Algonquin’s quiet wilderness.
