Loxton Beaver Trail

Description

Description

The Loxton Beaver Trail, an 8.5 km loop and part of the Discovery Routes system, was originally built and maintained for winter use as a ski trail, but is now open year round and multi-use. The majority of this trail is moderately difficult with areas that feature challenging climbs and descents. The trail meanders through a mixed coniferous and deciduous forest, loops past Loxton Lake and Beaver Lake (both of which are visible from the trail), and through various terrain including bogs, fens, and marshlands. You can expect forested terrain,  as well as sand, loose gravel, rock, and compacted soil. The route has a total ascent of 114.77 m and has a maximum elevation of 455.7 m.
